To reside in a suitable location. To have previously done meritorious deeds. To be heading in the right direction. These are the highest blessings! To have much learning., skill and knowledge To be restrained by a moral code. To have beautiful speech. These are the highest blessings! To be a support for your parents. The cherishing of mate and child. To have a blameless livelihood These are the highest blessings! To make gifts., living according to Dhamma. To cherish one's relatives. To do blameless actions. These are the highest blessings! To cease and abstain from evil. To refrain from intoxicants. Not to be heedless of the Dhamma. These are the highest blessings! To be respectful. and humble To be content. and grateful To hear the Dhamma at the right time. These are the highest blessings! To have patience., to be easy to admonish. The sight of monks and nuns To discuss the Dhamma at a suitable time.. These are the highest blessings! Practising renunciation., to lead the holy life Seeing the Noble Truths. The realization of Nibbana. These are the highest blessings! Although in contact with the World The Mind remains unshaken Sorrowless, stainless, secure These are the highest blessings! Having accomplished this One is always unconquered One goes everywhere in peace These are the blessings supreme!
