MORNING CHANTING IN PALI AND ENGLISH

(Yo so) bhagavŒ arahaµ sammŒsambuddho

To the Blessed One, the Lord, who fully attained perfect enlightenment,

SvŒkkhŒto yena bhagavatŒ dhammo

To the Teaching which He expounded so well,

Supa ipanno yassa bhagavato sŒvakasaŗgho

And to the Blessed One's disciples who have practised well,

Tammayaµ bhagavantaµ sadhammaµ sasaŗghaµ

To these: the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha,

Imehi sakkŒrehi yathŒrahaµ Œropitehi abhipčjayŒma

We render with offerings our rightful homage.

SŒdhu no bhante bhagavŒ suciraparinibbutopi

It is well for us that the Blessed One, having attained liberation,

PacchimŒ janatŒ nukampamŒnasŒ

Still had compassion for later generations.

Ime sakkŒre duggata pannŒkŒra bhčte pa igganhŒtu

May these simple offerings be accepted,

AmhŒkaµ dugharattaµ hitŒya sukhŒya

For our long-lasting benefit and for the happiness it gives us.

I render homage to the Buddha, the Blessed One.
